About Us

Better Feet & Body Podiatry Team

Better Feet and Body Podiatry was founded in 2007 by Daniel Carroll and Naomi Rowlings, Melbourne trained podiatrists who graduated from La Trobe University in 1999.

Daniel and Naomi are registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and have extensive expertise gained from working both in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Their career paths have been varied and have provided the opportunity to work in diverse settings, such as private practices, community health facilities and acute hospital departments in both Melbourne and London.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, Daniel and Naomi would be delighted to help get you back on your feet.

We also have a team of highly skilled and experienced Podiatry Associates who bring a diverse range of expertise and skills to the practice.

Daniel Carroll

“Playing a small role in improving people’s quality of life is very rewarding. I hope to ensure the clinic continues to provide an excellent service and friendly environment for everyone who attends.”

Daniel has extensive experience in lower limb biomechanics and gait analysis and has a particular interest in treating and preventing postural issues. After gaining a Bachelor of Podiatry, he completed further education in foot mobilisation therapy (FMT), which focuses on using specific mobilisation and manipulation techniques with strength and conditioning programs, to treat and prevent many common leg and foot conditions, often without the use of orthotics.

Daniel’s top hobbies are trail running and keeping up with his family’s daily adventures – while avoiding injury, of course!

Sherry Girges

“My area of interest in podiatry is the management of high-risk foot pathologies. I enjoy managing the complex nature of these conditions and find fulfilment in seeing good outcomes for patients, as well as preventing the development of more serious conditions.”

Sherry graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master of Podiatric Practice, and has worked across hospitals and community health centres during her podiatry career.

With experience in both public and private clinics, Sherry enjoys advancing her podiatry knowledge. She aspires to complete continuing professional development (CPD) in modern podiatry practices by learning about a variety of foot pathologies.

Sherry is currently working towards her Master of Public Health. In her spare time, she keeps fit, experiments with cooking new recipes and explores Melbourne’s best brunch hotspots.

When she isn’t building her expertise in podiatry, Elaria loves watching the tennis, supporting her favourite basketball team and indulging her sweet tooth through baking.

Margaret Gough

“Sometimes for our clients, coming into the clinic is a social visit as well as a podiatry treatment. Some just need a friendly smile or compliment to make their day.”

As a people-focused health and fitness enthusiast, Marg loves to combine her passions for wellness and people to create a calm and welcoming environment in the Better Feet and Body Podiatry clinic.

Marg is not one to shy away from a challenge and has achieved so much in her time, including teaching her children to enjoy sport and stay active! She’s also walked, trekked, ran, and ridden hundreds of kilometres to help raise money for many important charities.

We love having this go-getter on our team!
